The prospective candidate shall be responsible for
- Designing go-to-market strategy for all VAS Products and Service offerings
- Designing, developing, documenting, implementing and measuring a clear, well defined VAS Promotions Strategy (building on Products & Services roadmap per brand segment)
- Working with Brand Managers and Business Intelligence team to analyze customer needs and aspirations and drawing relevant insights for the development of compelling VAS propositions across segments
- Ensuring successful launch of VAS products and services and driving go-to-market execution
- Positioning MTN’s VAS propositions as best-in-class and best –in-market; bringing MTN VAS products to the forefront of available distribution channels to increase overall service adoption
- Driving uptake of VAS in each of the outlined segments and designing strategies to ensure high ARPU contribution from VAS across segments
- Providing input into business cases for proposed VAS products and services
- Creating VAS promotion requirements documents to facilitate implementation, including market requirement documents, descriptions, cases, storyboards and VAS flow diagrams
- Developing and executing communication strategy for VAS products in terms of adverts, promotions and events
- Maintaining a strong understanding of the marketplace and current and evolving opportunities for mobile operators and other industries with regard to VAS.
- Working with Brand Managers, Product Managers, Business Intelligence, Research, Sales and Customer Operations to ensure and agree promotion objectives and desired user experience.
- Tracking revenue growth for VAS products
- Evaluating viability of identified partnering opportunities for complementary third-party products to broaden company’s VAS product portfolio.
- Collaborating closely with technical design and implementation teams to communicate promotional frameworks, understand the impact that these requirements have on the architecture and design of the product, and adjust requirements as appropriate to optimize return on investment
- Overseeing the design, development and implementation of business/operational tools and processes related to VAS promotions.
Required Qualification Skills:
- First degree in a related field (Possession of a MBA will be an advantage)
- 8 years work experience which includes 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity and minimum of 3 years managing product promotions
- Experience in collaborating with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders
- A good understanding of systems, networks and mobile telecoms and mobile applications
- Project Management Experience in telecommunications marketing or consulting will be an advantage
Note: The employment status is permannent and the job conditions is standard MTNN working conditions but may be required to work extra hours. The qualified candidate shall be reporting to General Manager, Data/VAS Marketing
